The Founders
We’re thrilled to introduce ourselves as the co-founders of Shop Closet! Our journey began in high school when we discovered our closets were overflowing due to our shared shopping obsession. Initially, it was a fun idea to resell old clothing in a sustainable manner, but it soon evolved into a full-fledged business. Throughout college, while Cali attended Ole Miss and Kathryn attended the University of Virginia, we continued to grow Shop Closet. From dorm rooms to now running it full-time, we’ve cherished building this brand together at every stage.
Our Story
What started with porch drop-offs and local deliveries soon transformed into something bigger. Today, we’re thrilled to be shipping orders to customers across all 50 states.
During the Covid-19 pandemic, social media emerged as a significant platform for people to stay connected. Recognizing this opportunity, we reached out to influencers who were growing their online presence. This partnership allowed us to sell on their behalf and provide girls with an accessible way to shop from their favorite style icons’ wardrobes. By introducing Shop Closet to their audiences, we help find their pieces new homes.
As we continue to grow, we remain committed to the core values that made this business so special to us: community, creativity, and of course, great clothing.
The Future
We are incredibly excited about the future of Shop Closet and the endless possibilities ahead. As a team, we’ve always believed in making fashion accessible while being sustainable, and we’re just getting started!
